Crafting Public Policy

Project Description

Objective:

1)     Record, organize and present the perspectives of a diverse range of stakeholders, with an emphasis on underrepresented groups, in a compelling manner. 

2)     Provide policy recommendations that reflect these perspectives, and in various formats and media that can be disseminated to a broad range of stakeholders and the larger Pioneer Valley community.

Components:

1)     Engaging Presentation that utilizes different media formats to capture the voices of a diverse array of stakeholders.

2)     Impactful policy brief: provides background on issue, summarizes viewpoints of various stakeholders and lists policy recommendations that arise out of those opinions.

Steps:

1)     Background research about issue (Week 1)

2)     Collect viewpoints of many different stakeholders (Week 2)

3)     Synthesize presentation and develop recommendations (Week 3)
